In 1971, a young and ambitious Erik Sterk began working at the small bakery in Vereeniging, carving out his path in South Africa after emigrating from the Netherlands with his parents. Just four years later, in 1975, Erik and his father made the bold decision to purchase the bakery. More than just business owners, they became legacy builders, committed to upholding the values of quality, craftsmanship, and community.

From humble beginnings, Erik and his father expanded their vision, advertising their bakery and growing its presence. Their passion and dedication led to the establishment of multiple locations, spreading the joy of freshly baked goods to new communities.
